I am now creating a new place for my readings, and it is called "Reflector's Library". Please stay tuned for update !

  • God

Scholars and philosophers from different ages try to perceive and explain the nature of God. Atheists, however, claimed that there is no God in reality. In many scriptures, folk lore, myths and songs, God, or gods, always act as an important ingredient to colorize the contents of the mentioned items. In my opinion, humans never can perceive, explain, and provide evidences to proof the existence of God. Humans are only cradled in a limited space and time and there is a "difference in foundation" between God and all creations. God is omnipotent, omniscience, and omnipresence, He is beyond every rule of this universe. The only way humans can know about God is the revelations from God. The written form of this revelation is called Bible. (By Marco Tsang)

  • Saint Augustine - 奧 古 斯 丁

Saint Augustine (A.D. 354 - 430) : born in what is now Souk-Ahras, Algeria, in AD 354, brought a systematic method of philosophy to Christian theology. Augustine taught rhetoric in the ancient cities of Carthage, Rome, and Milan before his Christian baptism in 387. His discussions of the knowledge of truth and of the existence of God drew from the Bible and from the philosophers of ancient Greece. A vigorous advocate of Roman Catholicism, Augustine developed many of his doctrines while attempting to resolve theological conflicts with Donatism and Pelagianism, two heretical Christian movements. • John Calvin - 約 翰 加 爾 文

A major leader in the 16th-century Reformation of the Catholic Church, John Calvin established a new religion with strict codes of belief and behavior. Calvin taught the virtues of faith above good works and advanced the theory of universal priesthood, in which all Christians could practice their religion without the daily guidance of priests. Calvin also established the idea of the "Elect," a preordained group of people whom God chooses for Salvation. Many European princes and citizens embraced Calvinism, and his ideas spread to other countries and sparked other major Protestant religions. (Source : Encarta Encyclopedia)
